## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Own and execute recurring actuarial and financial analysis for multiple value-based care contracts, including forecasting models, program efficacy evaluation, and large-scale database solutions.
- Support business development by building actuarial client relationships and owning actuarial analytics for national payer clients.
- Partner with actuarial and finance leadership on financial reconciliations and performance reviews; prepare analyses and present results to executive audiences.
- Develop, run, and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate healthcare claims and operational data.
- Perform ad hoc and exploratory analyses to investigate performance trends, identify drivers of over- or under-performance, and surface actionable insights.
- Evaluate model outputs for reasonableness and sensitivity, identifying data quality issues, assumptions, and emerging risks.
- Collaborate with analytics, clinical, and operations teams to align data, models, and workflows.
- Improve and automate actuarial processes and analytical pipelines.

## Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, Economics, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline.
- ASA, or near-ASA with demonstrated progress toward credentials, including 4+ exams.
- 2+ years of actuarial experience in a healthcare environment.
- Experience using SQL or another structured coding language to pull and transform healthcare data from large databases.
- Proficiency writing clean, efficient code and troubleshooting and reviewing code.
- Experience working with claim-level datasets.

## Nice-to-haves
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate results, solutions, and recommendations.
- Experience with value-based care arrangements and concepts including Medicare Advantage, risk scores, shared savings, and CMS payment models.
- Exposure to pricing, reserving, forecasting, trend, pharmacy, or other actuarial functions.
- Proficiency in an additional coding language such as Python, R, or dbt.
- Expertise with spreadsheet software, including functions, formulas, and graphs.

## Compensation
- Base salary: **$108,000–$150,000**.
- Total compensation also includes equity, benefits, and other opportunities.
