## Job Description

## Impact You Will Have
- Significantly increase Databricks’ visibility and share of citations across priority AI answer engines (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Google AI Overviews).
- Drive growth in qualified organic and AI-referred traffic, conversions, and influenced pipeline for priority product lines.
- Publish 5x the amount of content for GEO/AIO using AI agents and internal resources for deep, technical content.
- Accelerate publishing of new content by creating workflows for GEO, content, and product marketing teams.
- Establish a repeatable GEO experimentation program that designs, runs, and synthesizes tests on content structure, schema, semantic depth, and passage-level changes to improve AI citation rate, sentiment, engagement, and funnel performance.
- Maintain excellent technical health and AI crawlability across high-value pages, including Core Web Vitals, structured data, schema, crawl optimization, and site architecture.
- Embed GEO best practices into content and campaign workflows to ensure content is AI-citable and answer-focused.
- Build an executive-ready reporting and insights function connecting AI/SEO performance to business outcomes.
- Create and socialize the Databricks GEO playbook with standards, SOPs, training, and enablement for cross-functional partners.

## What We Look For
- 5–8 years of hands-on SEO experience, including 1–2+ years focused on AI search optimization, GEO/AIO, or answer engine strategies, with proven business impact.
- Strong technical SEO foundation in site architecture, crawlability, structured data, schema markup, Core Web Vitals, and log file/crawl analysis; experience partnering with web and engineering teams.
- Proven ability to design and run experimentation programs that deliver measurable lifts in search/AI performance and downstream KPIs.
- Fluency with SEO, analytics, and GEO/AIO tools (Semrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, AI visibility platforms) and building stakeholder reporting.
- Excellent written communication and editorial judgment for reviewing and refining AI-generated and human content.
- High learning agility, experimentation mindset, and comfort in rapidly changing, ambiguous environments.
- Strong cross-functional communication and influence skills with content marketing, product marketing, engineering, analytics, and communications teams.

## Compensation
Zone 1 Pay Range: $176200–$242350 USD
Zone 2 Pay Range: $158600–$218150 USD
Zone 3 Pay Range: $149800–$206050 USD
Zone 4 Pay Range: $141000–$193800 USD
Total compensation may include annual performance bonus and equity.
