## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Hire and manage distributed security engineering teams, including resource planning and end-to-end hiring.
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering high-performance and inclusive culture.
- Drive security roadmap, technology strategy for automation, and cross-functional projects.
- Lead vulnerability management, incident response, security monitoring, and secure coding practices.
- Influence decision-making, communicate complex ideas, and align with organizational goals.

## Requirements

### Core Competencies
- 8+ years technical experience in security or software engineering, with 3+ years leadership as people manager.
- Experience leading distributed teams across time zones.
- Deep security knowledge: vulnerability management, incident response, monitoring, secure coding.
- Player-coach with technical guidance skills.

### Technical Skills
- Expertise in security domains like vulnerability management and incident response.
- Solve complex security problems and contribute to strategies.

### Nice-to-Haves
- Experience building security infrastructure, monitoring systems, automation.
- Scripting in Python, Go, or Bash.
- SIEM tools, security scanning platforms.
- Computer science fundamentals (concurrency, algorithms, data structures).
- Applied cryptography, OWASP/NIST/ISO27001/SOC 2, regulated environments.
