## Job Description

## Responsibilities

### Set the sourcing strategy
- Build and publish sourcing strategies for cable, battery, PCB, and connector commodities, including technology roadmaps, supply landscapes, cost trends, and sourcing rationale.
- Establish a Preferred Vendor List for Engineering to reduce rogue spend and design-in risk.
- Conduct quarterly supply-base reviews with engineering and quality teams.
- Identify emerging technologies and qualify second sources.

### Lead negotiations and cost management
- Drive cost reduction using a Total Cost of Ownership approach.
- Report landed costs, including unit price, logistics, duty, and channel margin.
- Lead RFQs for new projects over $50,000 using clean-sheet costing and should-cost modeling.
- Negotiate with suppliers based on detailed cost analysis.

### Ensure supply continuity
- Own supply assurance through BOM reviews, multi-sourcing, expediting, and supplier relationship management.
- Partner with planning and operations to protect build schedules and identify risks early.
- Run QBRs with top-tier suppliers using scorecards covering on-time delivery, quality, cost, and technology.
- Coordinate cross-functional responses to supply escalations.

### Partner with engineering
- Work with design teams from the concept phase to translate technical requirements into commercial strategies.
- Communicate cost and lifecycle considerations that engineers can incorporate into designs.
- Ensure new designs use components with long-term lifecycle support.
- Turn complex supply chain data into concise leadership summaries.

## Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in sourcing and supply chain management, focused on board electricals for consumer electronics, automotive, or related industries.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and contract management experience.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and drive strategic decisions.
- Experience managing global suppliers and working cross-functionally.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders and resolve conflicts.

## Nice-to-haves
- Success driving supplier innovation and significant cost reduction.
- Knowledge of international trade compliance and tariff regulations.
