## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Define the long-term direction of the Airbnb brand and shape near-term campaigns, product launches, and cultural moments.
- Develop strategic points of view that align senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Write briefs for advertising and brand development across traditional, digital, social, and emerging media.
- Translate research, cultural signals, and business priorities into actionable consumer insights.
- Help define product and portfolio positioning and go-to-market strategy.
- Partner with creative teams throughout global campaign and product-launch development.
- Evaluate creative work against strategy and improve its focus, distinctiveness, and effectiveness.
- Build strategic narratives and presentations for senior leadership.
- Raise the standard of strategic thinking and writing across the marketing organization.

## Requirements
- 10+ years of experience leading brand strategy in-house or at a creative or brand strategy agency.
- Exceptional writing ability and a record of producing clear, concise, persuasive, creatively inspiring strategy.
- Experience with brand positioning, campaign strategy, creative briefs, and strategic narratives.
- Experience partnering with creative, advertising, design, media, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills and experience translating quantitative and qualitative research into actionable insights.
- Strong cultural and social fluency, including an understanding of how brands earn attention, relevance, and credibility.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills, including influencing senior leaders.
- Ability to simplify complex problems and create clarity in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

## Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in consumer technology, travel, design, lifestyle, or other culturally influential brands.
- Passion for travel and Airbnb; hosting experience is a plus.
- Integrated marketing experience across multiple channels and markets.
- Strong visual sensibility and understanding of how strategy translates into creative expression.
- Experience uniting cross-functional teams around a motivating strategic idea.
- Strong judgment, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and a collaborative working style.
- Current understanding of culture, media, social platforms, and how ideas travel across contexts.

## Compensation
- Base salary: $196,000–$245,000 USD annually.
- May also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and employee travel credits.
