## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Lead development and reporting for partner total cost of care savings performance estimates, ensuring data accuracy and methodological consistency with risk-based contracts and actuarial standards.
- Lead annual financial reconciliations for value-based contracts and coordinate internal data resources to execute them.
- Interface with actuarial counterparts at partner organizations to validate reconciliation results.
- Evaluate performance estimates, identify and quantify financial risks and opportunities, and advise Finance on revenue recognition decisions tied to projected shared savings.
- Identify and evaluate potential underperformance, interpret results, and partner with health economics and clinical teams to determine root causes.
- Execute actuarial analyses and develop models to quantify financial and risk trade-offs among value-based contract features.
- Develop and maintain financial models linking clinical and operational activities to outcomes that drive financial performance.

## Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, Economics, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline.
- Associate or Fellow designation from the Society of Actuaries (ASA or FSA).
- 8+ years of actuarial experience in healthcare and/or medical economics.
- 2+ years mentoring junior staff members.
- Understanding of Medicare Advantage health plan data, including Claims, MMR, and MAO-04.
- Experience using SQL or another coding language to pull and transform data from large healthcare claims databases.
- Proficiency writing clean, efficient code and maintaining strong data management practices.
- Experience working across organizations and building rapport with data teams and downstream consumers.

## Nice-to-haves
- 3+ years of experience with value-based care arrangements and contracting, including reserving and forecasting for shared savings, shared risk, and/or global capitation programs.
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate the “Here’s What,” “So What,” and “Now What” to executive audiences or external parties.
- Strong understanding of healthcare financial and clinical metrics and industry standards for presenting data.
- Experience developing Excel financial models and forecasts to evaluate the cost-of-care impact of clinical interventions.
- Familiarity with Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Understanding of pharmacy benefits and/or Medicare Part D.

## Compensation
- Base salary: $190,000–$210,000.
- Total compensation also includes equity, benefits, and other opportunities.
