## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Build a deep understanding of Snowflake’s infrastructure and services.
- Apply both infrastructure and software engineering to deliver a highly scalable, resilient, and performant platform.
- Provide technical leadership on large, complex projects that span infrastructure, platforms, tools, and automation in the cloud.
- Champion platform adoption to meet business goals across partner teams.
- Lead and mentor more junior engineers.

## Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP) or platform engineering.
- Ownership mindset, self-direction, and a passion for solving complex problems.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals.
- Proficiency in one or more languages: **Go**, **Java**, **Python**, or **C++**.
- Daily operational experience with AI-driven software development (Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent).
- Expertise in infrastructure-as-code frameworks (**Terraform**, **Pulumi**, **CloudFormation**, or similar).
- Expertise in CI/CD systems (**Github Actions**, **Jenkins**, or similar).
- Strong distributed-systems troubleshooting and incident resolution skills.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Proficiency with **Kubernetes**, especially on the platform side.
