## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Serve as an embedded data lead: understand product strategy, goals, roadmap, users to identify high-impact opportunities and risks.
- Use data to steer conversations: bring data-driven hypotheses, challenge assumptions, frame trade-offs, prioritize strategically.
- Translate vague product hunches into sharp analytical questions and design approaches to answer them.
- Be the source of truth for KPIs and product metrics: define, monitor, identify trends and drivers.
- Drive decision-making with data: prioritize analyses that inform product decisions, reframe ineffective requests, design and deliver analyses rapidly.
- Lead experimentation: guide on when to experiment, enable self-serve, focus on frequent small experiments.
- Identify AI (ML or GenAI) opportunities to improve product strategy and enable integration.
- Act as collaborative leader, focus work on what matters most.
- Work end-to-end with clinical, member, and claims data: design reports/dashboards, data flows, build transformation pipelines.

## Must-Haves
- Experience at digital health or similar startup during growth phase.
- **7+ years** in Healthcare Analytics or Data Science: large datasets, statistical/quantitative modeling, analytics with programming, data mining, clustering, segmentation.
- **7+ years** with data science and visualization tools (**SQL**, **Python**).
- Experience building BI dashboards (**Looker**, **Tableau**).
- Data security and privacy best practices in regulated industry.
- Ability to explain technology/techniques to others.
- Designed/implemented repeatable AI-enabled workflows for efficiency.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Leading cross-functional efforts for scalable systems/data pipelines, complex data structures.
- Understanding of **Generative AI** concepts and tools (**ChatGPT/Codex**, **Claude**, **Gemini**).
- Building pipelines using **dbt**.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
