## Job Description

## Responsibilities

- Drive technical discussions and implementations to generate new business, expand existing business, and support customers.
- Qualify prospect and customer use cases, discover technical requirements, lead demonstrations, design solutions, and collaborate on proofs-of-concept (PoCs).
- Advise existing customers on technical best practices, implementation of Cloudflare products, and strategic guidance on internet security and performance.
- 20-30% travel for meetings, conferences, and team collaboration.

## Requirements

- Demonstrated experience with a scripting language (e.g. **Python**, **JavaScript**, **Bash**, **Lua**, **Go**) and desire to expand skills.
- Expertise in internet technologies: **OSI Model** layers 1-7, **BGP**, **GRE**, **TCP/UDP**, **DNS** (authoritative and recursive), **HTTP(S)**, **SSL/TLS**.
- Familiarity with **Zero Trust Framework** and **SASE** concepts.
- 12+ years in a customer-facing sales or consulting role.
- Technical curiosity, passion for staying current with Cloudflare products and industry trends.
- Focus on learning, teaching, collaboration, mentorship, growth.
- Strong project management, relationship building, and EQ.

## Desired

- Built or contributed to web applications.
- Understand firewalls (L3, L4, L7), ACLs.
- Comfortable with command-line interfaces, **RESTful APIs**, analyzing HTTP in browser inspector.
- Knowledge of **CSRF**, **XSS**, **SQLi** and Cloudflare defenses.
- Experience with regulatory requirements like **PCI DSS**, **HIPAA**, **SOC-2**.
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (not strict).
