## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Partner with the Sales Team to articulate Datadog’s overall value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
- Manage a team of leaders and individual contributors to support customer success during the pre-sales process.
- Lead recruiting efforts for individual contributors and front-line leaders.
- Mentor and coach new hires during onboarding.
- Enable the team to support Datadog solutions and develop key technical and soft skills.
- Build strong relationships with Product Management, Support, and Enablement to ensure continuity between pre- and post-sales activities.
- Deliver semi-annual performance reviews and execute individual development plans.
- Lead customer-facing technical activities, including sales presentations, product demonstrations, and technical evaluations or proofs of concept.
- Build and execute customer evaluation plans while mentoring team members on how to do so.

## Requirements
- 1–3+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering team lead or mentorship role.
- 3+ years of experience in Sales Engineering or another equivalent client-facing role.
- Proven ability to grow and develop a team.
- Experience recruiting individual contributors and front-line leaders.
- Knowledge of current infrastructure and monitoring solutions and technologies.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to articulate both business benefits and technical advantages while coaching others to do the same.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively about varied challenges.
- A coachable mindset and demonstrated ability to navigate change.
