## Job Description

## Responsibilities

- Own, retain, and grow a portfolio of SMB merchants through tailored adoption of Square tools.
- Advocate for merchants within Square and surface insights that shape products.
- Build trusted relationships with top merchants and consultative connections across the wider portfolio.
- Drive expansion through product adoption, upselling, and value-based recommendations.
- Balance proactive outreach, retention activities, and growth opportunities through strong organization and time management.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Support teams to deliver tailored merchant solutions.
- Own outcome-based growth and retention goals, ensuring merchants see measurable results.

## Requirements

- 3+ years of experience in account management, sales, or consultative roles.
- Consultative, customer-first mindset with the ability to advocate for client needs.
- Passion for helping small and medium-sized businesses succeed.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, including high-volume outreach and follow-up.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to simplify complex ideas.
- Commercial acumen and curiosity about small-business drivers.
