## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Drive the development and implementation of AI legal and compliance frameworks, including policies for model development, deployment, and monitoring that align with emerging AI regulations and industry standards.
- Participate in cross-functional reviews of AI project initiatives to identify legal risks and opportunities, ensuring compliance with regulations while enabling innovation.
- Develop and maintain AI governance documentation, including model cards, algorithmic impact assessments, training data compliance records, and legal risk assessments.
- Partner with engineering teams to implement legally compliant AI development practices, including requirements for transparency, fairness, and accountability.
- Create and maintain processes for AI incident response, model monitoring, and legal compliance validation.
- Build scalable processes for AI legal reviews across various stakeholders.

## Requirements
- 5+ years of directly related experience in technical program management, with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML initiatives in a technology-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of emerging AI regulations (EU AI Act, state AI laws, etc.) and their practical implementation.
- Experience developing legal frameworks for AI governance and responsible AI development.
- Track record of partnering with technical teams to implement legal requirements in AI systems.
- Understanding of IP considerations in AI development, including training data rights, model ownership, and output licensing.
- Experience with AI risk assessment methodologies and mitigation strategies.
- Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional initiatives.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with large language models (LLMs) and generative AI legal considerations.
- Background in open source software licensing and AI model licensing.
- Familiarity with AI ethics frameworks and algorithmic fairness principles.
- Experience with AI procurement and vendor assessment.
- Knowledge of global AI regulatory developments and policy trends.
- Background in privacy law and data protection regulations.
- Technical background or demonstrated ability to understand AI/ML concepts.
