## Job Description

## Responsibilities

### Program Development & Implementation
- Design, develop, and implement a regional physical security program for Reddit's EMEA and APAC offices, including locally tailored policies, procedures, and standards.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for each site.
- Establish and manage access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
- Support global travel security initiatives for employees traveling within or from EMEA and APAC.

### Policy & Procedure Development
- Create and maintain security policies and procedures for employee safety and office security.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, national, and international regulations.
- Develop and implement crisis management and business continuity plans.
- Lead physical security incident responses and maintain emergency communication channels.
- Monitor regional threats and provide security briefings and reports to leadership.

### Executive Protection
- Support executive protection initiatives for senior leadership visiting or residing in EMEA and APAC.
- Assist with threat assessments and implementation of executive security measures.

### Employee Security and Safety
- Develop and implement security awareness training for regional personnel.
- Establish and manage incident reporting and response procedures.
- Provide guidance to employees on security-related matters.

### Office Security and Safety
- Manage day-to-day security operations for company offices and facilities.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits of physical security systems and processes.
- Build relationships with local law enforcement and emergency services.

### Vendor and Budget Management
- Manage security vendors and contractors across EMEA and APAC.
- Negotiate contracts, maintain service-level agreements, and evaluate vendor performance.
- Assist with the regional physical security budget and track expenses for cost-effectiveness.

### Collaboration
- Partner with People, Legal, IT, and Operations teams to integrate security measures across the organization.
- Act as a key contact for external security providers, government bodies, and other stakeholders.
- Promote security awareness and accountability throughout Reddit's regional presence.
- Deliver regular security updates to regional and global senior management.

## Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of corporate physical security experience, including developing and implementing security programs across European and Asia-Pacific markets.
- Experience managing multi-site physical security operations.
- Strong knowledge of security practices in Amsterdam, Berlin, Dublin, London, and Sydney.
- Strong knowledge of security technologies and systems.
- Experience in employee security and office security.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently within EMEA and APAC.
- Experience working in a fast-paced technology environment.

## Nice to Have

- Master's degree in a related field.
- CPP, PSP, or similar certification.
- Fluency in multiple European languages, such as German, Dutch, or French.
- Experience working with international security providers and diverse regulatory environments.
