## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a container-based infrastructure that is elegant, redundant, scalable, and compliant
- Deliver end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in a cloud environment
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in a reproducible and secure manner
- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues; perform root cause analysis
- Collaborate with developers to ensure applications and services are built with scalability, reliability, and security in mind
- Maintain highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools
- Develop custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower human intervention
- Evaluate application performance, identify bottlenecks, develop and implement solutions
- Maintain security program controls and best practices; ensure HIPAA compliance
- Make pragmatic decisions about technical tradeoffs, infrastructure costs, and resource utilization
- Participate in on-call PagerDuty rotations

## Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps
- BS or advanced degree in computer science or related field
- Experience deploying and monitoring web applications in AWS
- Security-first mindset with experience building secure development and test environments integrated into CI/CD pipelines
- Experience building and maintaining container-based infrastructure and Kubernetes
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform a plus) and infrastructure testing strategies
- Experience with infrastructure automation, systems reliability, load balancing, monitoring, logging
- Experience fully automating CI/CD pipelines with CircleCI and GitHub Actions
- Experience working in regulated environments with data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA preferred)
- Experience managing SQL and NoSQL databases (Redis, Redshift, AWS RDS, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Snowflake)
- Strong scripting skills (shell, Perl, Ruby, Python, Go, Groovy, Helm)

## Nice-to-Haves
- Terraform experience
- Experience in HIPAA/GDPR regulated environments
