## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Understand, ingest, and accurately model healthcare data for new and existing customers.
- Support updates and fixes throughout customer relationships.
- Develop attributes and flags from existing data to drive action by care teams.
- Build visualizations to report on impact.
- Improve data models and pipelines using SQL and dbt.
- Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and analysts to build scalable data models and pipelines.
- Transform eligibility, medical and pharmacy claims, prior authorization, and ADT data into standard data models.
- Identify data-quality issues and propose enhancements to standard data models.
- Translate business requirements into technical plans for data models, pipelines, and analytics.
- Build relationships with data teams at insurers, ACOs, PCPs, and other risk-bearing entities.
- Ensure internal customers have fast, accurate, and reliable access to data.

## Requirements
- Expertise working with large healthcare datasets, including eligibility, medical and pharmacy claims, prior authorization, and ADT data.
- Experience designing data models for operations and analytics.
- Experience building SQL data transformations.
- Experience working with large datasets as an Analytics Engineer, Data Scientist, or Data Engineer.
- Proficiency in data modeling, data transformation, and claims analytics.
- Working knowledge of Python.
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in scaling organizations, fast-paced environments, or ambitious startups.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and find solutions.

## Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a healthcare-focused technology startup with mature data structures and pipelines.
- Experience with dbt, or willingness to learn it quickly.
- Experience with Looker or similar business intelligence tools for data analysis and visualization.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: **$166,500–$185,000**.
- Total compensation also includes equity, benefits, and other opportunities.
- The salary range may be lower or higher if the role is hired at another level.
