## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, build, and maintenance of scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, supporting high availability and performance for our platform.
- Help evolve CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, safe, and frequent deployments across multiple environments.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, ensuring reproducibility and auditability.
- Monitor system health, performance, and security using observability tools (e.g., Datadog, CloudWatch, PagerDuty) and respond to incidents with urgency and thoroughness.
- Work with containerized and orchestrated workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS), supporting cluster operations and scaling strategies.
- Collaborate with software engineers to improve developer experience — reducing friction, improving deployment times, and contributing to self-service tooling.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and contribute to incident postmortems, supporting root-cause analysis and long-term reliability improvements.
- Contribute to internal documentation and runbooks so that institutional knowledge is shared and processes are repeatable.

## Requirements
- 3-5 years of professional experience in a DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering role.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda, CloudWatch).
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar).
- Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration.
- Working knowledge of Linux system administration and shell scripting (Bash).
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability tooling (Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with security best practices: secrets management (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager), network segmentation, IAM policies, and encryption at rest/in transit.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in a fintech, payments, or regulated industry environment (SOC 2, PCI-DSS, or similar compliance frameworks).
- Proficiency with a scripting or programming language such as Python, Go, or Node.js.
- Experience with database performance tuning and managing managed database services (Aurora, RDS).
- Familiarity with zero-trust networking principles and SIEM tooling.
- AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer Professional).
