Manager, Software Engineering
Leads the Libraries engineering organization responsible for secure, automated, and reproducible open source library builds and releases. The role requires technical team management experience, agentic AI production experience, and expertise in language ecosystems, cloud-native infrastructure, and software supply-chain security.

Responsibilities
- Provide vision, mentorship, and strategic leadership for an engineering team building and maintaining secure open source libraries at scale.
- Guide technical direction and product strategy across language ecosystems, dependency management, security hardening, tooling, automation, and services.
- Set policies and quality standards while balancing security, performance, stability, and customer value.
- Own development-artifact comparator gates, LLM-based judge rubrics, language-specific build systems, and AI automation.
- Improve build and testing infrastructure for reproducible, auditable, and trusted library releases.
- Oversee vulnerability detection, patching, SBOM generation, and provenance generation across library ecosystems.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to ensure interoperability and a consistent security posture.
- Represent the Libraries product externally with partners and community maintainers, and drive adoption and awareness.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing and scaling technical teams and building or maintaining platforms at scale.
- Experience managing teams that ship agentic AI in production, including agentic tools, evaluation suites, LLM-judge rubrics, curated agent knowledge, and measurable quality gates.
- Strong understanding of language ecosystems, build systems, dependency management, release management, and vulnerability management.
- Experience leading teams working with cloud-native technologies and infrastructure, including containerization, cloud services, and infrastructure as code.
- Growth-minded leadership with the ability to plan for scale, anticipate challenges, and align technical work with business objectives.
