Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate production systems, emphasizing extensibility, reliability, and usability.
Write and review code regularly, setting the pace and elevating standards for the team.
Build high-quality end-to-end product experiences with strong attention to user needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and navigate organizational complexity.
Partner with Engineering Management, the Product Manager, and company leaders to create and pursue the long-term vision.
Unblock the team against short-term and long-term roadmaps, making tradeoffs across business priorities, user experience, and technical sustainability.
Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
Teach and mentor engineers and develop future technical leaders.

10+ years of professional backend or full-stack development experience, including active code writing and review.
Experience setting and executing long-term technical strategy for a large product area.
Ability to prioritize competing requirements and stakeholders while iteratively shipping product features.
Proven technical leadership, including meaningful contributions to the growth of other engineers.
Superb communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
User empathy and a customer-centric approach to problem-solving and product development.

Full-stack development experience, particularly with React and Ruby.
Desire to continuously learn and grow as an engineer while shipping impactful work.
