## Job Description

## What you'll be doing
- Build the outbound playbook from scratch: Test different channels, messages, and approaches until you find what works, then systematize it for the team that comes after you.
- Find the messaging that lands: Figure out how to talk about Basis in a way that makes in-house accounting and finance teams want to take a meeting. Write, test, learn, rewrite.
- Research and prioritize the right accounts: Determine which companies we should be talking to, in what order, and why. Build the targeting logic, not just the list.
- Get meetings with the right people: Convert your outreach into conversations with controllers, CFOs, and finance leaders — and calibrate your approach until you're booking them consistently.
- Feed intel back into the business: Document objections, competitors, pain points and share insights that shape how we position, sell, and build.
- Set up the infrastructure: Own the tools, the tracking, and the reporting that lets us understand what's working.

## What we’d love to see
- 0–2 years in sales, business development, recruiting, or a role with heavy outbound communication
- Experience in high pace environments such as high growth startups, investment banking, private equity, university-level athletics, or door-to-door sales
- High levels of adoption of AI in your day-to-day
- Experience with outbound tools (Apollo, Outreach, Salesloft, HubSpot, or similar)
