## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Build Vanta’s cross-source intelligence layer so organizational data is queryable and can be reasoned over by EPD leadership, GTM, and other teams.
- Define scope, make tradeoffs, and sequence what gets built.
- Ship prototypes, internal tools, and agent workflows directly, using AI as part of the development process.
- Work with GTM, G&A, and EPD teams to understand unanswered questions and build useful solutions.
- Identify and address AI quality issues, including reliability, cost, latency, edge cases, drift, and inaccurate answers.
- Build on the sources of truth and EPD operating system being developed by related teams.
- Influence behavior across teams through shipped products and communication rather than authority.
- Investigate root causes and consider second- and third-order effects.

## Requirements
- Recent experience shipping real products, prototypes, internal tools, or workflows with LLM tooling.
- Ability to independently scope ambiguous problems and make prioritization decisions.
- Ability to work directly with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
- Understanding of AI quality and operational concerns such as reliability, cost, latency, edge cases, and drift.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and apply sound judgment when using AI responsibly.
- No computer science degree or specific pedigree required.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: $176,000–$207,000.
