## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Work alongside large customers to solve complex challenges involving architecture, performance, recovery, security, and related MongoDB operations.
- Advise customers on best practices for running MongoDB at scale.
- Advocate for customer needs by interfacing with product management and development teams.
- Contribute to internal projects, including software development of support tools for performance, benchmarking, and diagnostics.

## Requirements
- Strong technical experience in one or more of the following areas:
  - Systems administration
  - Distributed systems
  - Network administration
  - Database architecture and administration
  - Application architecture
  - Data architecture and design
  - Performance tuning and benchmarking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Genuine desire to help people.
- Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with a strong drive to investigate and solve problems.
- Ability to think on your feet, remain calm under pressure, and solve problems in real time.
- Ability to rapidly learn a wide variety of new technical skills.
- Strong teamwork, including knowing when to seek help and collaborating effectively with team members.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with Java, Python, Ruby, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, Node.js, Go, PHP, or Perl.
- Operations experience administering large-scale production environments.
- Experience with hardware, Linux, Windows, networks, firewalls, load balancers, and cloud-based resources.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
