## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Independently manage and execute a portfolio of in-person events, including owned regional user conferences and third-party sponsorships across EMEA and eventually APJ.
- Lead end-to-end event logistics, including venue sourcing, negotiation and contracting, vendor coordination, booth design and setup, and on-site execution.
- Own event project management, including timelines, budgets, contracts, vendor communications, and stakeholder alignment.
- Define and track event success metrics; deliver post-event analysis and recommend improvements to increase performance and ROI.
- Create, review, and approve event assets such as signage, collateral, presentations, and registration experiences.
- Use AI and automation tools to improve planning, execution accuracy, and reporting.
- Identify risks early, resolve issues proactively, and lead real-time on-site decision-making.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, product, and regional teams.
- Provide guidance to junior team members, contractors, and agency partners while remaining hands-on.

## Requirements
- Located in the UK, Netherlands, Sweden, or Germany.
- 4+ years of direct event management experience, including end-to-end ownership of hosted conferences and independent management of third-party sponsorships.
- Experience managing the full event lifecycle: venue sourcing, negotiation and contracting, budget ownership and reconciliation, vendor management, registration builds, on-site delivery, and post-event analysis.
- Experience serving as the primary on-site lead and making real-time decisions regarding vendors, staffing, run of show, and unforeseen issues.
- Willingness to travel by plane approximately 40% of the time, including long-haul travel to APJ and occasional work across APJ/AMER time zones.
- Curiosity and adaptability in adopting marketing technologies, including AI-driven tools such as Claude Code.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent events with competing deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder events with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Proficiency in Zuddl or similar registration platforms; familiarity with Salesforce and Monday.com preferred.

- Practical experience applying AI tools to research, analysis, and operational efficiency while maintaining quality control.
- Strong budget and commercial judgment, including vendor negotiation and investment prioritization.

## Compensation & Benefits
- UK on-target earnings compensation range: GBP 79,000–GBP 95,000.
